Pros

Longevity. They've been around 160 years, it's a stable company.

Cons

Pay is super low, everyone from Teller to SRB makes roughly the same pay. They give lunches instead of fixing a morale issue. Management is very hit and miss, some managers are great and they help their team thrive. Others either rule with an iron fist or adhere to policy so rigidly that there is absolutely no room for discussion; these manager types tend to be in similar circles and feed off of each other's energy leading to an unhealthy workplace where the turnover may not be high, but morale is extremely low. People don't quit bad jobs, they quit bad managers.

Pros

Great culture Flexibility Team Collaboration Growth Opportunities ERG’s Benefits

Cons

I had a very positive experience overall. If I had to identify an area for improvement, I’d say that as the company continues to grow, there are opportunities to further streamline processes and enhance cross-team communication. That said, it’s a natural part of growth, and I appreciated being part of that evolution.

Pros

The only pro of working at this company is the biweekly paycheck.

Cons

I worked in HR at First Horizon for two years, and my experience showed me a company that consistently prioritized its own interests over those of its employees. The intense micromanagement stems from unrealistic expectations set by senior leadership, creating a high-pressure environment with little regard for work-life balance. The company has also required employees to return to the office full-time, offering virtually no flexibility for remote or hybrid work. That decision speaks volumes about how much value is placed on employee well-being. To make matters worse, I saw instances where previously approved vacation requests—even trips that had already been booked and paid for—were later revoked. Before accepting an offer here, I would strongly encourage you to consider whether this is the kind of culture you want to be part of.
