      good salary, good benefits, good industry

      Cons

      Tier 1 management doesn't always have a bead on who the best performers are and who the imposters are. Good employees usually get shuffled (since they are usually engaged and working hard), while the imposters spend a good deal of time trying to impress the Tier 1 team with misrepresentations of their activities while promoting themselves. This condition makes it impossible for the company to make the transition to next level.
