I was accused of something I was not guilty of by a fellow coworker that was previously fired before. I was then threatened and then assaulted both verbally and physically. When I reported this to my supervisor (immediately after it happened) I was instructed not to contact the police. I did anyway.
An investigation through HR was conducted (if you'd call it that. They didn't even give me an opportunity to sit down with them to tell them the whole story and they never returned my calls or emails.) The perpetrators lied in their statements so management sided with them despite proof (body camera footage of the perpetrator's admitting to the police officer that responded to the scene that they put their hands on me.) And I was given a verbal warning/coaching session for inappropriate behavior/conduct in the workplace. What a crock! If that isn' bad enough, rather than separating me from the guilty parties, I am scheduled to work with them regularly throughout my shift. Very seriously considering contacting an attorney to see what my options are.
