Pros

Rank and file are great; supervisor/managers, not so much. Customer driven. The employees work hard, despite poor supervision, to keep members happy.

Cons

Poor supervision, not to mention some pretty clear favoritism. I was terminated after thirteen years, (ironically having received a performance raise just a few months prior) with no consideration as to how information I depended upon from other departments affected my ability to perform my duties. The company is ridiculously top-heavy, (FOUR vice presidents at the time of my termination,) and my supervision was sketchy, at best. First Tech, when I started, was one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon; they lost that distinction a long time ago. The company used to offer 401K and pension, a company Christmas party and occasional barbeques in the summer; those are now gone, and a culture of paranoia has developed within the rank and file.

Pros

Generous employee loan discount, hybrid work schedule, professional development opportunities, Fresh fruit is a nice touch.

Cons

Small desks and crowded to co-workers which creates distraction and difficulty at times to concentrate due to noise. Hotelling desk locations often "raided" of equipment. One day you'll get there and you're all set and the next time docking station of other equipment is gone.

Pros

Nice location, easy access, good D&I

Cons

I worked here for two years, the Pay scale was so low you had to work two jobs if you’re a single person. They have the customer service representatives doing sales, and then find ways to not give sales bonuses because your customer service levels aren’t high enough. I had worked in customer service for eight years and I’m still in customer service at another institution and never have I seen such ridiculous rules. If you have to send a request to another department and they call them back your first call resolution is crap. And remember this is a sales team so they pay you so little and work really hard to not give you a bonus. I talked to a Work coworker who stated that now they don’t get their quarterly bonuses because they have to be at 110% of First call resolution to get the quarterly sales. Bonus makes zero sense.
