Toxic "we are family" Culture - Mortgage First Tech Federal Credit Union Employee Review

1. With the toxic family culture, upper management are all buddies that spend time together outside work. 2. The cliquiness and favortism is horrible. If upper management doesnt like you, you have a target on your back. The favorite employees are allowed to make mistakes or do minimal work without consequences. 3. Bringing issues up is largely ignored with upper management. They refuse to address the glaring issues but wonder why so many are leaving. They make it a "you" issue. 4. Lack of adequate and accurate procedures make the job very difficult. 5. Dealing with lazy or rude loan officers that arent held accountable because they bring in the money. They are allowed to do whatever or as little as they want without repurcussions. 6. Managements solution to high volume is "work OT" which tosses work/life balance out the window. 7. Promoting to higher levels is encouraged but management puts too high expectations on their seniors. They expect perfection when thrown curveballs with strict close dates. What is the motivation to move up when sacrificing mental health? 8. Lack of communication and xonsistent information between departments and clueless managers who dont know anything. Ask 3 managers the same question and get 3 different answers. Better off going to a coworkers.
