Pros

A little background up front.....I had worked for a large financial institution for 20 years when I was approached to apply at First Tech. I always thought I would stay with that company until retirement. I was intrigued based on the level of excitement and commitment that was conveyed by every current employee of First Tech that I conversed with. Since joining the First Tech team I am constantly inspired by the Leadership, peers and my employees. We are forward thinking and innovative but still balanced by letting our members decide how they want to bank. Excellent credit union with great pay, benefits and work-life balance. The culture is incredible with a corporate team that are truly approachable! First Tech is the place to be if you want to make a difference in members lives, be part of an organization that listens to you when you speak and a place that actively develops employees for advancement!

Cons

Be open minded when learning multiple computer systems:)

Pros

Generous employee loan discount, hybrid work schedule, professional development opportunities, Fresh fruit is a nice touch.

Cons

Small desks and crowded to co-workers which creates distraction and difficulty at times to concentrate due to noise. Hotelling desk locations often "raided" of equipment. One day you'll get there and you're all set and the next time docking station of other equipment is gone.

Pros

Nice location, easy access, good D&I

Cons

I worked here for two years, the Pay scale was so low you had to work two jobs if you’re a single person. They have the customer service representatives doing sales, and then find ways to not give sales bonuses because your customer service levels aren’t high enough. I had worked in customer service for eight years and I’m still in customer service at another institution and never have I seen such ridiculous rules. If you have to send a request to another department and they call them back your first call resolution is crap. And remember this is a sales team so they pay you so little and work really hard to not give you a bonus. I talked to a Work coworker who stated that now they don’t get their quarterly bonuses because they have to be at 110% of First call resolution to get the quarterly sales. Bonus makes zero sense.
