Pros

Lots of training & feedback. Good benefits. Decent pay. A step up from the normal call center hell. Only open til 6 pm and only 10-2 on weekends and each employee has to take only one weekend a month at most so unlike a lot of call center jobs you can have a more or less normal schedule. Not as relentless about collecting $$. More civilized than some big bank call center.

Cons

Management is addicted to meetings that could have been replaced by emails. Advisors expected to handle a lot of weird situations via calls from customer service/branches that didn't really have anything to do with us but got dumped on us because a customer was complaining & branch/customer service management are not particularly inclined to handle escalations. Many members are high tech and are high maintenance but we have to kiss up because they are the membership base and keep a lot of $$ on deposit. Difficult to move to other depts as they often veto a move & anyway openings are rare.

Pros

Generous employee loan discount, hybrid work schedule, professional development opportunities, Fresh fruit is a nice touch.

Cons

Small desks and crowded to co-workers which creates distraction and difficulty at times to concentrate due to noise. Hotelling desk locations often "raided" of equipment. One day you'll get there and you're all set and the next time docking station of other equipment is gone.

Pros

Nice location, easy access, good D&I

Cons

I worked here for two years, the Pay scale was so low you had to work two jobs if you’re a single person. They have the customer service representatives doing sales, and then find ways to not give sales bonuses because your customer service levels aren’t high enough. I had worked in customer service for eight years and I’m still in customer service at another institution and never have I seen such ridiculous rules. If you have to send a request to another department and they call them back your first call resolution is crap. And remember this is a sales team so they pay you so little and work really hard to not give you a bonus. I talked to a Work coworker who stated that now they don’t get their quarterly bonuses because they have to be at 110% of First call resolution to get the quarterly sales. Bonus makes zero sense.
