Pros

Drinks and Snacks. Coworkers (but that's changing a lot of legacy is leaving) Some autonomy, but you'll hear about it if you do something that your boss wouldn't do. Starting to provide some training for job related courses or education. Unlimited PTO (see below for caveat)

Cons

Doesn't listen to anyone who is legacy and doesn't seem to care about their opinion. Attitude is to fire people who voice their opinion because they might be being negative, even though there is no proof that it's effecting moral. Was in a meeting where they gave an 'hypothetical' situation of this, and their response really was just to try and get rid of the person. Company hired DCTs (back when it was two companies starting a merge) promised a raise in 6-9 months and didn't deliver because of the merge. Won't even bump them up in pay to the level that they're hiring new staff on. Upper HR seems very cold and distant on the issue and doesn't seem to care. Their help desk is horrible when you try and get help they don't respond for weeks on end. This is largely due to what appears to be rather really poorly organized merge of systems between the system, so it might go a way given enough time. Benefits cost shot up. And they hide it under the guise of this HSA, which seems like a good idea for anyone who is 100% healthy for years on end. We had better and cheaper benefits before. Manager and Managers Managers don't even visit the sites, they just sit up at their offices and don't interact with any of the front line staff except through email. Upper management is really disconnected. They only seem like all numbers people and only things they care about is the money aspect. Don't seem to really care about the people or how the operations go. They run unlimited PTO but they do a skeleton crew so trying to find availability is tough. Long 12 hr shifts for customer interacting positions. Don't care to up staff to even give people 4 days x 10 hrs, it's 3 days x 12 hrs. So if you have life outside of work, you don't while on shift. You get a longer weekend. It works for some and some actually like it.

Flexential Response

Thank you for leaving feedback. The leadership and the management team is working hard to get out to sites regularly. We pride ourselves on having regular opportunities for interaction - through All Hands, local Town Halls, the Flex 15, and our departmental meetings as well as 1/1 meetings with employees. The company has worked hard building out a strong benefits offering. We are spending the same or more on our benefits plans but the money is distributed a number of different ways rather than investing every dollar into a medical plan. We now offer 2 medical plans including an HSA with seed money, increased life and AD&D for any employee that makes over $50k, a bonus plan for all exempt employees (where previously most employees in the West were not bonus eligible) and an increased 401k match. We also increased leave opportunities for maternity and paternity leave as well as offer unlimited PTO. It's our expectation from our management team that unlimited PTO is fully supported. When we hear that it isn't being fully embraced, we act on it immediately. It's important that this policy isn't a "surface" policy. We mean it and stand behind it 100%.

Pros

Flexibility with work life balance Really talented and fun coworkers. Direct upper management great with helping pursue your goals and gathering everyone together to make your job feel like you are in fact a part of a team. This made work enjoyable even when aggravated by other things.

Cons

Compensation and recognition don't match performance. Despite consistent 5-star reviews and going above-and-beyond (taking on extra projects beyond my pay grade), raises were minimal (e.g., 0.9% after a strong first year) and promotions were seemingly gifted on favoritism over performance. Higher leadership (SVPs/L1s) showed limited follow-through on innovative internal projects—e.g., we built data solutions that outperformed enterprise third-party solutions, but they were shelved with only vague "good job" responses and no real investment. L1 attempted to enforce a new corporate policy of flexwork on people living nearly 75 miles away from the nearest corporate satellite office to show. My employment contract did not state I needed to be hybrid yet they enforced it on me even when I didn't have a car and my nearest team member was 3 states over. Policy was dropped after 6 or so months. As a PE-owned company, resources seem heavily directed toward infrastructure expansion (new data centers) rather than employee rewards or reinvestment in existing systems. This leads to frustration when teams outperform but see little financial upside. DCIM and data infrastructure feel under-resourced—limited data engineers, poor visibility into key datasets, infrequent health checks, and surveillance gaps create risks for outages and long-term reliability.
