Pros
Work from home. Overall good platform and curriculum in Educator and VSA record keeping. The number 1 reason I pursued this job, I could work out of state and had aging parents who needed my care. First five years were wonderful. Now, must live and work in state of FL only!
Cons
Hours, management, integrity, fear-based leadership, favoritism for those who drink the kool-aid, little down time, abuse good teachers by increasing workload and expectations, reward poor teachers who suck-up and look good on paper, physical looks, younger, and on surveys (meaningless). BTW, most of the 5 star reviews come from "kool-aid" staff members and corporate. If you have ever been to staff conference, bring a barf bag, it makes you sick to see WASPs who prance around because it is a vacation from their family. Once called the "Maternity Ward" everyone raising children wanted this job to stay at home. Discriminatory and arbitrary decision-making, ILs and Leads are NOT to be trusted. Actually, TRUST no one. Suffer PTSD from this job and if you polled former staff, they would admit the same. FEAR-BASED leadership and student diploma mill. Resubmit for mastery, resubmit to raise grade, seriously? Even college level courses; what college allows this? A disgrace to Education! DO NOT leave your tenured job! The last great perk is gone, working out of state! Mistreat employees, and as several have said, they can still sleep at night, soul-less!
