The worst parts of Omnicom, including pay - Retail Specialist Flywheel Digital Employee Review

Pros

None, anymore. There used to be some, like work life balance and unlimited pto. Not anymore. Things will get worse the longer Omnicom owns Flywheel.

Cons

Terribly uncompetitive pay. Bait and switched me with a different salary after getting through interviews. Random layoffs of entire teams. Management takes no accountability for anything. People leave and have the same things to say during their exit interviews, but still nothing changes. With layoffs and adding accounts, you will be piled on with more and more work but no more pay. Media and retail were recently merged into one job. Again, more work, no increase in pay. If that wasn’t bad enough, their “unlimited pto” was recently removed, which was one of the main reasons of keeping a job that paid less, at Flywheel. Many people who are parents, who have also since left, would agree. Every week during the Flywheel and office meeting, all you ever hear about is “ai” this and that and “get more money and accounts”.

Pros

There are still great, intelligent people here that you can learn from, but they are dwindling as the mass exodus continues.

Cons

Benefits: Omnicom has been slashing benefits left and right since the acquisition, effectively giving all legacy Flywheel employees a paycut. Employee healthcare costs went up 100%, employer HSA contributions got cut by 50%, unlimited PTO revoked, and 401K matching is no longer guaranteed and comes 7-8 months after the end of the year (if it even comes at all). Year-end compensation and performance reviews always get pushed back 4-6 months. Flywheel use to be an exciting and fun company to work for. That's all gone and now all that remains is an unrelenting workload that never ceases no matter how many nights and weekends you work. I wouldn't take a job here unless you're desperate.
