Pros

-New superintendent who is personable and readily listens to his employees/staff/community -Nice salary for teaching -Moving towards implementing more technology

Cons

Though not clearly stated, I receive a lot of pressure to get students to perform on standardized testing despite not having all the resources to truly prepare students for life beyond high school and for the new state-mandated test. The idea that making most learning team-based is NOT necessarily applicable nor sincere preparation for college.

Pros

Our campus administration is fantastic. Supportive, helpful, kind, everything we need.

Cons

Immediate district support is lacking and often disrespectful. We have not received a raise in four years, despite tackling more and more workload successfully. Our role has a salary range, and NO ONE is considered for the high end, even those with many more years of experience. Why bother publishing a range when you only give employees the low end? And this with a masters degree?
