Pros
I left the relative "comfort" of a very steady position to dive head-first into a tech startup, and I have never regretted that decision since day one! Management is amazing -- I have tons of latitude and management's trust to go do whatever I think is the right thing for the company. We operate on a "Level 5 Leadership" philosophy, where employees are expected to take on issues, find the solution, and make it happen. I can't say enough great things about Fortress!
Cons
Not really a con in my opinion, but for anyone looking to come onboard, be prepared to work your tail off! Clearly not a "9 to 5" kind of environment here, but in my opinion that's a good thing. The team is really focused to do whatever it takes to make this company thrive.
