Business Outlook
Pros
Pay is relatively good, but because of cost of living in this area, still not quite enough.
Cons
As a new therapist, opportunities to get really good at certain aspects of the job was a challenge; we did not have a high enough volume for an inexperienced therapist to be able to gain experience. We were not in a position for me to have a clinical instructor unfortunately. My "homegrown" experience left parts of my training lacking. We are not a respiratory school. Working here would be best suited for someone trained elsewhere, many of my coworkers do really well here, even new grads as long as they got their education elsewhere. Good for travelers who wa t the Alaska experience.
