Pros
The new office is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The compensation for mid/senior-level developers is reasonably competitive.
Cons
The software development processes and culture are seriously broken. Priorities and processes are arbitrarily decided based on gut feelings, and naive, incomplete research, but mostly upon what has been recently sold. There is very poor oversight of architectural decisions or technical implementations, due to staff favoritism, with disastrous results. Committee-based decision policies result in glacially-slow progress. Some members of management seem to make decisions solely for reasons of self-aggrandizement. Finally, upper management occasionally helicopters in and out of implementation-technical decisions - when they have little or knowledge about the details!
