Pros

Great people, cool office space, challenging work

Cons

Things seemed to have gone downhill after Vista took over the company. It’s now all about the bottom line, which I understand, but they’ve definitely lost that small start up family vibe. There were layoffs right before the holidays in 2019, then furloughs in April(COVID). FWI heavily relies on the hospitality industry, so I understand the reduction of force during the pandemic......but they acquired a company after cutting all those people. Teams were not consulted on who would be let go. It seems like the people who remained were the newest(lower salary) with the least amount of experience. The loss of knowledge made work extremely difficult. The furloughed group was finally told after 7 months that they were not going to be brought back even though a “90 day” group was being told they were for sure coming back. I am good friends with several of the furloughed employees and they all say communication during this time was horrible. When they did receive emails, the content was riddled with spelling errors(like someone was drunk)and had nothing to do with the state of the company but plenty of info about FWI’s “great”diversity program. The product is cool in theory, but it is not easy to use. They’re trying to make FWI Cloud a thing, but there are lots of bugs and I think the on-prem solution is better. A ton of people are leaving right now, and I don’t blame them.
