Pros

The People are amazing. Some of the brightest, fun, and hardworking individuals you will find anywhere. They make it “tolerable” to come to work and do what you do. The DE&I sessions are a nice add as well to learn more and town halls are usually kept light hearted.

Cons

Where to start... So many great leaders, individuals and C level executives have left which begs the question: what did they see that others have not? Mass turnover has happened before but 2020/2021 feels very different. The workplace has truly evolved into a toxic environment. The main focus is all about making money which no one is buying into. FWI used to feel like it had a purpose, but with so much turnover and the company not doing well from a financial and culture aspect its like everyone for themselves. Customers keep canceling contracts, wins are hard to come by, and you can feel something is not right. Everyone is told that leadership cares but other than open door meetings nothing is really getting done to prove it. No raises, no promotions, not even money to fix up your home office setup to be a little more comfortable. Every department is taking on more work with all the departures that burnout is rampant across the organization with no end in sight. The product is outdated and hasn’t felt like it’s adapted to the times. Sure the new features seem shiny but is anyone actually using it? Some of the new product launches aren’t selling the way they should.

Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate your concern for the employees of FWI. As you could imagine, the pandemic has had a big impact on most businesses and the world at large. We are fortunate to have an incredible group of creative and talented people working hard, and we understand that it is important to recognize, reward, and celebrate them. It is due to these individuals that we are so excited for our future! As it relates to the workplace environment and steps taken, your understanding above is an inaccurate representation of FWI culture and business. Over the past 18-month period, including the months before COVID, less than 15% of FWI’s workforce has turned over. The Pandemic forced us to furlough and unfortunately lay off individuals. During that time, everyone across the company chipped in through various means so that we could ensure that any furloughed employee maintained their healthcare. Additionally, on the unexpected last day in the office, employees were given the option of taking home their ergonomic office chairs, dual monitors, and this year, offered their sit/stand desks. If this is of interest to you and will help set you up for success, please reach out to an HR team member.
