Pros

GREAT benefits. Health plan was good. You could contribute 7% to your 401k and they'd put in 10%. There were always clubs that you could join that were completely paid for by Bethpage, as well as the constant rewards they'd give their employees, like lunches, team activities, and of course the all employee party at the end of the year! Plus, it's a bank, so you get all national holdays off!

Cons

People who work in the branches feel like they aren't given enough credit for what they go through. Recognition from anyone in the main office was almost non-existent, and many of the managers are sour about where they are and take it out on their employees. It always felt like we were understaffed, with no time to go to the bathroom or drink, since you're not allowed to eat/drink in front of members.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience working at Bethpage. We aim to provide our employees with an extraordinary employee experience just like we ask for our employees to provide our members with an exceptional member experience. Recently we revamped our recognition program to provide more engaged recognition opportunities in addition to existing in-person recognition. As a growing organization, we’re constantly evaluating staffing needs to make sure that we are providing the best service to our members and maintaining a great employee experience. If you’re open to it, I’d like to have a confidential conversation with you about this. Please feel free to stop by my office at any time or reach out to me via email or phone.
