This company is a nightmare.

Pros

There were some good coworkers, and occasionally free food.

Cons

I worked here for three years and wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. I was consistently singled out and bullied by my supervisor, and HR cannot and will not do anything to protect employees unless supervisors get physical. Your experience completely depends on the management you have within this company. If you can avoid the psychotic managers at the flagship branch, and avoid any of the branches where the supervisors are sleeping with staff and/or each other, you might be okay. But it’s a total crapshoot at best. Branch staff does the hardest job and the longest hours for the least pay and perks. The back office is completely out of touch with what it’s like to be an employee in the branch, and as a result doesn’t offer the support branches need. This company is a mess.

A miserable place to work

Pros

Excellent pay/benefits, nice looking offices, but comes at a hefty price. See cons...

Cons

If you love being constantly stressed, micro-managed, and over-worked; do I have the workplace for you. You'll be introduced to a two-week long training course that may not even relate to the job you were hired for. Then you'll have to retake each test again every year you are hired. If your unlucky enough to work in Bethpage's creative department, you'll also be introduced to a terrible Agile work environment. where you'll get a list of projects to work on for the next two weeks -- at the end of a Friday, no less. Enjoy a never-ending barrage of hour long meetings throughout your day, where you'll get no work done. Instead you'll waste your time and energy listening to higher-ups talk about their direction for projects and ideas for the direction of your department. Lose a ton of weight as you sweat through your work week, hoping to chip away at your to-do list, only to have more 'interruptions' thrown your way.

Pros

Good ethics. they care about the members. encouraged to learn. training is open to anyone. good benefits. excellent 401k. double match 3% of your contribution and then match another 4% meaning if you put in 7% they put in 10% of your gross paycheck. Making only 14 an hour, my 401k had 15k after roughly 2 and a half years.

Cons

Being the number one loan salesman in the entire company, I thought I'd be able to get a promotion. Especially since my title was "teller" but I also was taking loan applications and opening accounts right on the teller line. Doesn't matter what you know, it matters who you know. So network and suck up!
