Pros
Company is filled with genuinely good people - from entry level staff to management, most of the employees’ values fall in line with the credit union philosophy: they want to help and see others succeed. The benefits are great, including sick time, PTO, vacation time, gym reimbursement, tuition reimbursement and fitness-related support groups. They offer Power Pay, which is a yearly bonus of 4 weeks pay, based on individual, department AND overall company performance. There are a lot of opportunities to get out into the community with Bethpage, and this is a constant focus, which is nice. Upper management is very supportive, good-hearted, hands-on, and humble. Company is rapidly and expansion means more future opportunities - it is a great feeling to working with people who are going somewhere!
Cons
Pay is fair, but in my opinion it is not competitive enough for Long Island, since cost of living is so high. Company is shifting its infrastructure to rely on agile methods. In the meantime, there is still much work to be done to create more structure and streamlining for everyday work.
