Pros

If you are considering a position in the SF office, the environment is great. They invest in their employees and it shows. Lots of perks include snacks, drinks, pool table, lounge areas that make going to work enjoyable. Modern equipment, desks, etc. The culture is upbeat and co-workers are friendly. The engineering team is not terribly experienced, but competent none the less and is above the mark in keeping up with latest trends. Top of the line work/life balance and flexibility. Salaries are... you know... fair.

Cons

Health benefits, 401k, bonuses, RSUs are really weak incentives. You won't find good leadership here and it starts at the top. Although I love the man, Steve has really missed the mark on this one big time. For a company that did not have a lot of time to prove it can succeed when he acquired it, senior management's plans to grow have been ill-advised and executed horribly. (The rest of these cons are specific to potential NYC or remote employees) An overwhelming majority of employees generally want to leave the company, but most stay on because of the company's potential, complacency in their role, or inability to find a better job. Not a great environment to thrive in. Incompetence in key roles that cause friction in improving the culture and processes. A long history of internal promoting that has placed people with no relevant experience in critical roles. A serious issue. Egos within senior managements are strong and often lead their respective spaces in opposite directions. Dated tools and workstations. Most employees use worn out 10 year old monitors and desktops. To be fair most have requested RAM upgrades and some have even started to get newer (still used) laptops. You do not feel "invested in." Limited exposure to new or interesting projects. The fun stuff is typically tightly controlled and micro-managed by senior management trying to make it their pet project.
