      Pros

      I shop here and live up the street and I can't get a call in for a interview although I have a GED, a clean record, trade school and no tattoos.

      Cons

      I've applied for all positions for two Fred Meyer in Salem Oregon. On commercial st and market. It's distressing to me that all my applications were responded to as we are not accepting you. Total of 11 . Then day's later I see the still hiring for the position I was denied. It's not rocket science to work a register or bake in the bakery and I know how to pump gas.

      Pros

      I would say the most important Pros is benefits for all employees and employee's discount.

      Cons

      Even though it says "flexible hours", it is not really flexible. The pay is not fair. Cashiers in non-food departments get less pay than cashiers in front-end doing the same job. The management is different by the store as well as the work environment and culture.
