Pros

The customers are typically nice and the environment is clean. There's good music that plays in the background. Never a dull moment, always moving. Even the lowest-paid job pays a bit above minimum wage. Good employee discounts, and good investment vehicles like Kroger stock or 401k's if you want to increase your long-term wealth.

Cons

Can be fired for any reason at any time for frivolous reasons. Co-workers aren't the most trustworthy. They require your fingerprints for employment. They provide very minimal training for your job then will suddenly throw you over the deep-end before you can swim or know what it is you're supposed to do. I can't emphasize this enough, practically no training was offered at all for the job, instead a whole day is wasted on orientation instead of actually preparing you for the actual job you're actually going to do. They're also completely under-staffed, you will consistently work more than you're scheduled to. For example, I was only supposed to stay till 8:00 pm, I stayed until 11 pm. Sadly, this was fairly common and not at all unusual. Some of the equipment doesn't even work and is never upgraded even though it was scheduled to be upgraded a year ago! Obviously, they don't seem to care about their employees' ability to do their job that well. I would not recommend work at this place at all.

Pros

Job can be fun and interesting Always something new to learn Lots of personal fulfillment as a manager when things go right

Cons

Unsupportive upper management Toxic work culture, unpaid overtime is rewarded and even expected or forced, even to the tune of multiple weeks in a row with no days off when you are salaried. They claim to support work life balance but even the smallest effort to set boundaries is heavily punished. Not paid as much as we should be for everything we have to do and deal with
