Pros
Decent Benefits and Pay - free gym memberships, discounted tickets to events and Florida tourist locations, choice of Health Care coverage, 401k, Direct Deposit (you get paid a day earlier if you have a credit union too). Most of the people are great to work with. Family environment. LOTS of potlucks.
Cons
Customer Surveys determine commission pay but customers are made to believe they are doing a survey about the company and not the employee. The employee's monthly scores determine their commission payout as well as their job security. The service for customers constantly goes down and employees are punished for it in the form of surveys. Attendance is a bucket of time given that you use for vacation and sick time. We are given this time off in 3 month chunks that once you run out you have to wait for the next chunk of time to be released, basically regulating how many hours you can take off in a 3 month span. Mandatory overtime is a regular occurrence when the call center is busy. Seniority is everything when it comes to your scheduled work days and times. Schedules change constantly due to people bouncing between departments and new hires. Calling in sick is usually unapproved and results in a write up so a lot of people still come to work and then everyone gets sick. They also force you to do community service. Its required to go to at least 3 events a year to be considered for a raise at the end of the year from your yearly review. The community service wouldn't be so bad if we weren't treated like work horses. They treat us like crap because its free service and we're required to be there usually from 3-5 hours to get the credit towards your yearly review. I had to stand in the sun taking tickets for an event for 3 hours while the event coordinators sat in the shade under the tent and watched me work. You will gain weight if you sit around all day and eat at all the potlucks that happen here. There are at least 1 potluck a month on my team. Not everyone signs up to bring food but everyone eats and then they open it up to the rest of the department as a free for all. So you pay to bring food and EVERYONE gets to eat.
