Pros
Being your own boss, and setting up your own gate clearances is nice. Long drives with beautiful scenery.
Cons
The supervisor will lie just to get you in the door, you drive your own car, oil changes monthly, beating your car to death, 3,000 miles a month or more on traveling to prisons. The boss will recommend you buy a truck with a bed in it so that they can use your vehicle to transport their stuff instead of renting a van. Your vehicle is a storage facility for them. They offer 50 dollars a month for your cell phone because your phone becomes a work phone. The supervisor told me I would be like do I even have a job because of how slow this job was, after that, I worked every single day for the next two years, it never slowed down and he would push me to do as many jobs in a day as possible. One guy worked 3 jobs a day and ended up having a stroke from the amount of stress that comes with this job. Working in prisons is not easy. You are literally within arms reach of murderers & rapists most of the time. You are on call 24/7.
