Pros

Weekly paychecks. Summer cookouts are nice. Made lots of good friends working here in a fairly diverse workplace.

Cons

Very poor salary. Poor health benefits. Poor management. They offered me a low starting wage and then when I accepted, they lied and told me that their initial offer was lower and I had no choice but to accept the lower offer. I came to work 5mins late over a year later and they told me they could replace me the next day. You basically don't get raises and rarely get promotions. 10 days of PTO per year (poor in my opinion). It's easy to feel trapped in this company, even when you are one of their better employees.

Pros

Everything that I would've once listed as a pro has vanished in the last two years.

Cons

Low pay. lack of support. lack of accountability. Management is obsessed with metrics but has no clue what any of them mean. The idea that management has any responsibility for anything that takes place in the company is some kind of foreign idea. I watched 5+ years as the concept of "the buck stops here" continually was "it's not my fault, it's gotta be these people that are under me". A continual blame game of changing goals, targets, ideals, and direction. The ultimate "let me throw them under the boss for my inadequacy or failures" The entire company seems to exist in a permanent state of "by the seat of our pants" and "we'll figure it out as we go" with no clear direction, no set standards, no expectations, no feedback other than to randomly fire people with no explanation. The amount of people that I saw over the years get shown the door without so much as a single complaint, warning, "hey you need to do this", and then the management team wonders why everyone there is living in a constant state of "am i next to be fired?". I've seen managers that gave 20 years to the company get shown the door with no warning. And good luck if you're any level of tech below management, your only feedback will be the annual review (which you have to hound them to give you, they're happy to ignore it and not give you any kind of pay increase, which will be laughably small even if you manage to badger them into actually doing it) and don't worry no matter how many extra hours you put in, how many clients extol your praises, how many times you've been sent in to rescue situations that other employees have messed up, you'll be given a 3 out of 5 star evaluation "meets expectation" because management have a "well i don't give 5's cause there's always room for improvement" policy. Their idea of negotiating a pay increase is to lowball you, you counter, they say "let me talk to upper management about this" then ignore you for two weeks and push through an even lower number than initially offered without even telling you. In 2 years i've seen upwards of 15 techs just shown the door with no warning, no explanation, but plenty of "well so-and-so just wasn't doing blah blah blah" to the remaining staff after the fact. Shame so-and-so never knew that was an issue or was given any kind of direction to improve, warning, improvement plan, any kind of feedback that their job might be in jeopardy other than the overwhelming, lingering fear that everyone's job is in jeopardy because management decided to spin their metaphorical wheel and throw a dart to decide who to blame/fire today. In short, run don't walk. Save yourself the frustration. They don't value employees, they don't care as much as they try to say that they do, they're so blindingly out of touch with what they even do as a company.
