Pros
Time off after probationary period accumulates fast.
Cons
I needed a job, so I took this one. I was wowed by how streamlined the hiring/training process was. Then I started feeling like I was being prodded like a heard of cattle. Nothing matters to any of these people other than what numbers you can produce. Once you start slipping up because the job is extremely stressful, you start using all of your sick time/vacation/floating holidays. Then your numbers will start to take a dive, instead of trying to take some time to work with you. They will place you on a performance plan. Once you’re on the performance plan it’s lights out. No more raises/promotions/job development classes/shift bids/can’t post to other less stressful jobs. I feel like at the beginning we had proper support and time off the phones for trainings. Once you hit about 6 months there, they pull the rug from under you and there’s no more coaching/ trainings when you do have coaching it’s like 10 minutes a week.... who would be able to get anything out of that. The job itself consists of back to back non-stop calls for about 8 hours a day. The calls themselves aren’t bad. The anxiety to ace the customer survey that goes out to them after the call, and the sales pitch to sell them renters/homeowners insurance is what causes the anxiety. The pay/benefits aren’t bad. The healthcare is there in order to keep you medicated enough to keep coming in, and the pay to keep you from leaving.
