Pay, benefits, it's a job.

Incredibly micromanaged. Anytime a call is over 6 minutes you are expected to write an explanation as to why the call "took so long." You are expected to continually "move the call forward" - people (REAL PEOPLE) are calling in due to a death in the family or horrible accident, it doesn't matter, get them off the phone in less than 6 minutes or you will be coached. There is no sense of job security. Even employees who are at the top of the rankings are coached, put on memos, and threatened with their livelihoods. Despite making record profits, wages and benefits don't increase.

Decent pay and remote work.

Cons

Poor management at all levels, and high turnover in the IT department. Profit sharing was initially offered when I started in 2013 but disappeared after covid. Management laid off most of the IT staff that had the technical and insurance knowledge in favor of bringing in new staff to transition GEICO into a tech company. Not sure what the status of the IT department is in 2026.
