Pros

- Remote - Ground level staff are smart and capable - Pay is competitive - Insurance coverage is good

Cons

- On call shifts, plenty of jobs require them, but no one likes them. - Management is just a hot air balloon being bounced around by the breeze. No idea what their workers do, how they do it, when it can be done. It's due to a entirely top down implementation method, doesn't matter how damaging, costly, etc, something is if leadership says that's the way, it's the way. - Turnover was MASSIVE in the tech/engineering department to begin with but got only worse after they laid off entire departments. Job safety is gone. Oddly this has caused the smart and capable people to now start jumping ship leading to even worse moral and work loads. - Turn over for "Senior Leadership" is also very high. This leads to a constant change in business process, goals, priorities, plans, budgets leading to literal chaos amongst your ranks on a constant basis. - Feels like the company is actively out to ignore you, gaslight you, then blame you. The way top down deadlines come down as edicts, regardless of technical input saying that it can't be done in that time effectively makes all employees the enemy of management and it shows. - Career progression is entirely subjective to your review board individuals. Don't expect to move up based on your actual technical ability to complete projects, as it only takes a single voice to deny you your reviews or promotions with no evidence.
