Pros

Not many. Some work from home days, but that's it and that is dependent on your team.

Cons

There are many, but the ones that stand out now are the sheer lack of direction and transparency throughout the whole organization. Leadership, starting from the current CEO have no direction (especially not being clear with big changes such as splitting Old Navy from other brands). Worse than this, they have lied about how employees accrue bonuses and changed it a few weeks prior, so that we virtually receive nothing. It is not a trustworthy company and there is limited room for growth. I strongly advise to find a job elsewhere.

Pros

- Remote - Ground level staff are smart and capable - Pay is competitive - Insurance coverage is good

Cons

- On call shifts, plenty of jobs require them, but no one likes them. - Management is just a hot air balloon being bounced around by the breeze. No idea what their workers do, how they do it, when it can be done. It's due to a entirely top down implementation method, doesn't matter how damaging, costly, etc, something is if leadership says that's the way, it's the way. - Turnover was MASSIVE in the tech/engineering department to begin with but got only worse after they laid off entire departments. Job safety is gone. Oddly this has caused the smart and capable people to now start jumping ship leading to even worse moral and work loads. - Turn over for "Senior Leadership" is also very high. This leads to a constant change in business process, goals, priorities, plans, budgets leading to literal chaos amongst your ranks on a constant basis. - Feels like the company is actively out to ignore you, gaslight you, then blame you. The way top down deadlines come down as edicts, regardless of technical input saying that it can't be done in that time effectively makes all employees the enemy of management and it shows. - Career progression is entirely subjective to your review board individuals. Don't expect to move up based on your actual technical ability to complete projects, as it only takes a single voice to deny you your reviews or promotions with no evidence.

Pros

I think the Gap is a great place to work if you just graduated college but if you are an ambitious go getter kind of person that wants to make an impact I don't think the culture or is the organizational design set-up to enable success. Its a shame because the company has so much potential.

Cons

HR is very political. They say they want to change and look like they are doing a lot of things but they are basically recycling over and over again and not much changes. There are a few senior women that are all friends, they are snobby, cliques but to your face they are super friendly and seem motivated but will back stab you for their own gains. If you want to join an innovative people operations function I highly recommend working elsewhere. It's a company that is too big to fail and too big to change.
