Pros

Management is very motivated on making the company better.

Cons

The management team is very excited about changes coming, but nobody on the ground is. There is a clear lack of motivation and everyone treats this as a 8 hour work day without putting in any effort to change the company into a better place. Herein lies the disconnect between management. Management wants the work done but nobody actually doing the work wants to put in the time and effort, and simply wants to maintain the status quo. In addition, the ones that are motivated in working have their suggestions simply tossed out the window because management thinks they know better. Rather than using the current technologies that every other company is using, they insist on using legacy methods to manage cloud infrastructure. Very old-school corporate.

Due to the success and growth of Genesys, we have grown locally in Toronto by 15% this year (in a period of 6 months). I agree there have been some local challenges this year and I have personally focused on improving this very recently. As a result, we have re-adjusted management responsibilities and brought in additional experienced management talent. Decisions on technology, architecture, processes, and tools are complex, especially as we continue to make acquisitions and shift rapidly to the cloud, microservices and full automation. I am excited about our compelling direction, as we combine the agility that is enabled by "current" technologies/automation while enabling the sophistication and unbeatable tight integration of the entire Genesys product suite. Pros

Interesting take on customer experience using AI. Good pay for the role.

Cons

Favoritism amongst certain individuals and teams. I've heard that some sellers were removed from accounts just as they were going to close deals and therefore lost their commission. The messaging is that you can speak to any leader but that is not always the case.
