Pros
As I said previously, the team is great. Outside of working with people who truly care about patients and each other flexibility would be the next best thing.
Cons
Terrible benefits. Senior management cuts spending so much so that our supplies are the worst compared to the other hospice companies that surround us. Patients and their families complain about the cheap supplies all the time. The nurses aides are not fairly compensated. I have frequently given aides money because I see how hard they work and how little corporate cares about them. Corporate flat out lied to us about our health care "improvements". Those never came. I came into work one day and was told that they were cutting my mileage which resulted in about a $400 monthly cut for me personally. They want cheap labor not quality employees. Despite corporates lack of concern for its employees our office is filled with great people who go over and above the call to provide great care. This is one of the reasons this company is still in business. I believe corporate has taken advantage of the economy. They know jobs are hard to come by so they treat employees as replaceable no matter how good the employee is.
