Pros

We had a dream team.

Cons

Typical corporate hospice. They get patients who are barely legal and talk people into hospice . It’s the Alzheimer’s and demented pts or any other non cancer pt to level the census and keep them on hospice for as long as they can to make money. They say come die with us while standing in front of a cross. Come to Jesus and die with us. Then they go behind the cross, giggle and count their money with the CEOs. It’s not about taking care of a patient, their families as much as corporate greed. I have been in hospice for over 20 years. I know what I’m talking about. Folks we’ve lost our way. Americans, we owe you an apology just like the Drs, medical systems and death industries do. They too are unethical as they only look for a bottom line. We all make money off of people’s suffering to build our bigger capitolistic houses while the poor sleep in the street on some dirty card board. Everyone in America is one hospital bill away from financial ruin and bankrupt. What happened to cures and the gentle care of the ill. The inflated hospital bills will beat you home in the mailbox. Hospice gives EOBs. It’s paid for by Medicare, Medicaid and other. Hospices have a guaranteed payment system. But for the employee of Curo there is NO hospice benefits. Corporate, you think death won’t come to you. I’ve seen over 11000 in my time die and it’s still growing. You will meet your maker one day. Explain to him

Pros

Good pay and benefits mostly

Cons

Shady management and lack of growth opportunities. When Promedica was acquired the CIO came over from Promedica and brought all of his friends over with him. My boss was one of his plants. My boss then brought over his bestie from Promedica and immediately started giving her all the career building work. He completely passed over the legacy Gentiva employees in favor of his bestie. 3 months later the CIO announced cuts needed for cost savings. No Promedica people were let go just Gentiva employees. 2 months later several Promedica employees were given raises and or promotions. In January of 2026 we had reviews. It came to be known that my boss gave his bestie the highest score on the team effectively giving her a nice raise. She had only been at the company 6 months and had no goals set. I was given a much lower score and the reason was not having good knowledge of something I asked leadership for training on but never received. I called my boss out on these things and even went to HR (huge mistake). He then found some pretext behavior of mine that occurred months before my complaints. I was never spoken to about the behavior or given steps to correct. Proving he was reaching. I was fired shortly after. Sr management is corrupt and is not transparent. Run don't walk away from this company.
