Pros

Ghirardelli has the potential to be a great company. The re-investment into the company is 2nd to none. The growth of the company during these poor economic times shows the product value.

Cons

Purely a politically run company, high management turnover! Managers can't perform without support. No support given to new and innovative ideas and or independent thinkers. Open and hostel harassment if one doesn't follow the political agenda. Advancement is based on political agenda as apposed to job performance. Open favoritism to the politically correct. I've never experienced a company that has lost so many great employees to hold on to a culture of elitism. Promote ineffective managers with no practical experience and poor interpersonal skills. Seems like starting over every time. This culture leaves the employees with a sense of failure. Employees communicate their ideas only to find out later their ideas were implemented and recognition given to his or her manager. Speaking out will come at a significant cost! Manufacturing improvement are limited to longer hours of operation as apposed to solid operational improvements. Employees work as robots without management representation, speaking out will cause serious repercussions and negatively affect careers.
