Pros
I've worked in several start-ups with varying degrees of business models. Gigster caught my attention in light of the current shortage of high-end skills across companies in all industries, particularly the High-Tech industry. Some of my previous employers had the problem above making it hard to compete. I joined to help solve this problem. > Approachable, experienced, high-end executive team with a vision for long-term growth > Seasoned VCs > Great office and central location (walking distance from Bart) > Can-do attitude / culture > Daily lunches provided > Commuter/Transport allowance > Snacks/Amenities provided daily (the vinegar and sea-salt chips are addictive!)
Cons
So far so good. Startups are not for the faint of heart; it's hard work. Successful startups require an entrepreneurial spirit. Gigster is no different. You need to be comfortable with ambiguity and embrace change. If you are ready to be challenged and re-define the nature of people work, this is the place for you.
