Pros

It is wonderful working with children, although that would be the same at any district i'm sure. I have met several other teachers who are very nice to work with.

Cons

I have taught at 2 different schools and not been impressed at all with either principal. My current school had 7 teachers quit at the end of last year and 1 already this year (3 weeks into the year). Many of the issues just have to do with the state of our nation right now, but generally speaking this is a very demanding and frustrating job. You will likely feel overwhelmed, frustrated, depressed, and/or underpaid often. I stuck with it for this long because i kept telling myself it would get better/easier, but ultimately it just isn't. :(

Pros

I absolutely loved my school, but I had to leave because I just wasn't paid enough with the rising cost of living in Gilbert. They did get a raise after I left, but it still wasn't enough. I have never had a school culture as good as FFE. The parents, students, and principal (has since left), were all amazing to work with.

Cons

GPS is a very large district. I didn't feel valued by the district. I felt VERY valued by my school though. I went to a much smaller school district, and feel more seen.
