Pros

The people working in the schools are helpful, kind and want the best for the kids. There is a "we're all in this together attitude." The work ethic is excellent and people truly love working with students and do whatever they can to give them an excellent education.

Cons

You will be overworked. Huge class sizes, no money for basic necessities. Teachers spend their own money for many supplies. If something breaks or you run out of a supply, you will be waiting a while to have it fixed/replaced. The caring and excellent work ethic of those in the schools seems to be taken advantage of with the large class sizes and a condescending attitude from those not in the schools.

I absolutely loved my school, but I had to leave because I just wasn't paid enough with the rising cost of living in Gilbert. They did get a raise after I left, but it still wasn't enough. I have never had a school culture as good as FFE. The parents, students, and principal (has since left), were all amazing to work with.

Cons

GPS is a very large district. I didn't feel valued by the district. I felt VERY valued by my school though. I went to a much smaller school district, and feel more seen.
