Pros

Beautiful Location Friendly atmosphere on the surface Slightly above average benefits with ESPP and RSU stock Decent Pay Great Pipeline

Cons

Very poor management and lack of structure in Operations. Quarterly meetings are meaningless with no clear individual goals or site goals. No clear path for any level of team member. Basic pharma knowledge and rules are not followed on a daily basis. HR can be very unprofessional and has a tendency for dishonesty. Over working mid-level management due to improper Upper management philosophies and egos. Training is lack luster but slowly improving. Tenured employees pay is below industry/market standard. Promotions can be very political. Sr management/heads of company are disconnected from the company. Very abysmal HR dept. and Safety dept. Only worried about making money. Not truly team oriented. Not a process centric organization or an organization that focuses on its people.

Pros

“Limited positives in my experience, though others may value the industry focus and pace of work.”

Cons

My experience at Glaukos highlighted significant concerns regarding management structure and organizational effectiveness, particularly within the analytics function. There appears to be an overconcentration of senior leadership, which can create silos and limit accountability. In some cases, this dynamic seems to prioritize internal alignment over operational efficiency and team development. Within analytics specifically, the environment can feel highly demanding without clear standards, processes, or strategic direction. This can lead to excessive workload, inconsistent expectations, and elevated stress levels for team members. Additionally, opportunities for constructive feedback and improvement may be limited, which can impact both morale and professional growth. Prospective candidates should carefully evaluate whether the current structure, leadership approach, and work environment align with their expectations and career goals—particularly if considering roles in analytics.
