Pros

Flex hours allow employees to create their own schedule. Young workforce.

Cons

Low pay. Weak benefits. Unhealthy work-life balance. Mediocrity is regularly rewarded. Management seems to believe that the way to get things done is to just scream louder. Unrealistic timelines. The company takes advantage of its young workforce by setting impossible timelines to underpaid employees then yelling when the job takes as long as such jobs take. There is a tightly knit 'inner circle' of friends of the CEO who are put into executive positions regardless of competence. There is a ping-pong and pool table for show, but you will be yelled at for using either. Attempts at legitimate innovation are stifled for copycat products. Employees are given TWO WEEKS VACATION FOR THE FIRST FIVE YEARS. No increase until five years. For a public company employing professional workers that is unforgivable. For a woman giving birth, the amount of paid time off is the legal minimum. 2 days. After that, time off is on you. The amount of time that the pittance of a 401(k) contribution vests is as slow as is allowed under federal law.

Pros

Great community of people to work with, flexibility with working hours (as long as you're over 40hrs/week, investment in developing skills and experience early in career. Excellent place to start your career. Things move quickly and stay interesting. Lots of resources for PD.

Cons

No flexibility whatsoever for any work from home, regardless of circumstance, pay is average and benefits are only okay. Communication with/from execs often not the clearest and timelines are aggressive, which is a good and bad thing.
