Pros

From South FL, you work as a Contractor which allows you to be a little more free with time off if needed. Quality equipment is loaned to you to use in your job. The Corporate Support staff in Chicago was more helpful than the leadership. Project Managers were always enthusiastic about the project which helped motivate me in my work. The construction managers knew their job and often provided superb assitance when needed. The administrative support team worked together to get special projects done timely. All in all, it wasn't that bad of a job. Don't know if I would ever want to go back though.

Cons

You don't get paid for time off. That includes sick time, holidays, vacation days. Hourly employees take a hit on their paycheck whenever they take time off. Often, the hourly employee felt like a temp worker at this company. No safety net whatsoever. Benefits are the same as the ones offered to temp workers. Expensive coverage. Not worth it if your spouse has coverage you use. Single employees can take it or leave it. I took it. US upper management seemed disorganized and more concerned with flattering their client than resolving internal administrative and operations issues. US corporate leadership often made disparaging remarks to the client at project meetings, in front of his project team. Former employees who were asked to come back refused because of the leadership. Middle management had no idea how to be a management. They lacked any real communication skills. There were too many comments made about the security of my job to think that it was secure.
