Pros

• They’re good at teaching recruiting basics such as interview prep, most of the tools you use, closing, questions to ask, etc. They lay a good foundation for the basics and processes. • Great people and team, aside from upper management. There are some very talented, very hard working people here who care about their work. • Allowed employees to work from home occasionally in times of need, and also given as an incentive bonus for meeting target goals • The HR team does a great job of planning events, contests, etc.

Cons

• They’ve been doing layoffs for months of people in all positions. Not stable at all and on a massive decline. •Can’t take constructive feedback. Senior management will ask for feedback, then punish you for giving it. We had a case where we had a team meeting and respectively gave feedback about processes/communications, gave specific examples, and talked about how to improve it moving forward. Nothing changed and instead we were constantly berated and had snide comments made to us about the feedback, which we had been asked to give. • They hired a group of recruiters solely to work on a single VMS account, which obviously did not turn out well. It had low ratios and low return, and when a placement was made the sales team did not follow up to form a relationship with that hiring manager, so it was constantly taking a shot in the dark and started all over again from scratch with every single req. This caused a big hit to morale. They don't allow recruiters to expand their abilities by working on more challenging roles that allow them to actually produce, which shows a huge lack of trust in their employees. • Terrible work/life balance. Recruiting is not a 9-5 position, but it also is not a 24/7 position. • Pay and commission is significantly lower than average. I was pushed to work on a specific difficult to fill req multiple times that netted me a $5 commission bonus after taxes, which is atrocious. • On the sales side, they seemed to have a low focus on new business development and bringing in new clients. Relied too much on old business, and many times that was not “good” business. • Extreme micromanagement, down to monitoring how many emails you send every day. It shows that you do not trust your employees.
