Pros

As an entry level position: they really know how to train you with the basics for recruiting. They do a great job with keeping you on task and preparing you for the unexpected. There were some great people there ( unfortunately they’ve had some lays-offs and I’d say about 50% of the company was laid off because they lost their financial backer.) The Hr Team was wonderful, they planned events and really wanted to create a great culture.

Cons

Management isn’t the best. They like to emotionally manipulate you (i.e they would ask you “what motivates you?” And then they would use that against you, so if you told them what kind of reward you would like, you actually would never get that reward, but your co-workers would.) and install fear in you in hopes to get you to work “harder”. They can be quite emotionally reactive and when they ask for feedback and you give them feedback, they turn it around against you. They would push you to work on vendor management accounts that other recruiting companies would consider “C” level job reqs. The vendor management accounts were basically a shot in the dark type reqs where you did not get access to the manager and 80% of the time the roles that came out were generic template roles where 98% of time your candidate would get rejected because they weren’t qualified even though they were based on the job description. When you did hit the luck of the draw and got someone hired from a vendor management account, you had to split the commission with the sales exec that did absolutely nothing in the process. They pressed you to work on these roles to “crack” the system and you were expected to work 24/7. Everything is logged and meetings were overbearing ( 3-5 a day) - half my day was spent trying to keep up with their need to see everything you are doing - from email and phone count to job postings etc. Also too much on the quantity front and not quality for candidates.

Communication is very important to us, so much so that we offer multiple mediums to facilitate two-way communication with leadership regarding suggestions, concerns and to discuss performance. Most employees value that dedicated level of support. Managers are passionate about Glotel and meeting our goals, they encourage employees to be their best. It's a production based business and employees are required to meet performance requirements to be successful here---the competitive nature of the staffing industry is not for everyone.
