Management fosters a very paranoid environment and micromanage their employees. Employees are often afraid of their own shadow and don't feel they can speak up on issues. There are some people who unfairly have upper management's ear, and they step all over everyone else. The environment is highly political. Be prepared to have the whole world carbon copied on each e-mail, and your words always coming back to bite you. Once you start getting into the groove of things, be prepared to work long hours and still never be able to clear your inbox.
