Pros

Some great people Working from home Insurance is good although expensive

Cons

1. Lack of (adequate) leadership in Sales 2. Lack of accountability when someone makes a (huge) mistake (or really just being incredibly sloppy) 3. Lack of general knowledge of how an office works from certain leaders who should understand this 4. Receiving inadequate advice/responses from leadership in answering company wide survey questions (especially when I used them as a last resort) 5. Lack of career development plans for employees 6. Inadequate living wages 7. Inadequate internal processes for basic things like writing an SOW 8. Inadequate responses from leadership in developing internal processes

Hey there, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Glassdoor community! Firstly, thank you for your contributions! 3-4 years tenure tells me you knew the team when we were full time in the office, weathered the pandemic with us and contributed much in your time at GoCanvas, I'm sorry to hear that your expectations weren't met by our sales team. Innovation, both in our platform, and internally with processes and best practices is a core value of ours, and as such you are right, there are continuous changes to our internal processes. I empathize that this is perhaps more prevalent in the sales team and it can be frustrating for those who don't enjoy a fast-paced, continually iterative environment. I am glad you enjoyed the team! We have the most incredible people working at GoCanvas and are very lucky in that respect. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback with the Glassdoor community and all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Flexible PTO (though this is changing). Work-life balance was decent, especially earlier on. My customers were the best part of the role, and I genuinely felt for them as they navigated a significant amount of organizational change.

Cons

I stayed longer than I probably should have because the strongest parts of my experience were early on. After the acquisition, the culture shifted enough that many people started reevaluating their time here. It became more process-heavy, less transparent, and much more rigid than before. Management experiences varied widely. At one point, I went months without a clear direct manager or consistent point of contact, which created confusion around ownership and expectations.
