Pros

Just like any other company every department and manager is very different. I’ve had a wonderful experience and am hoping to grow with this company long term.

Cons

Salaries are far from competitive. The work life balance makes it easier to accept being paid less, but eventually it really should be adjusted.

Hey there, firstly, welcome to the team! If you have joined us within the last year, then it is likely that we have benefited from your fresh perspective, thank you for that, too! I appreciate also, you taking the time to share your experience with the Glassdoor community! I'm delighted to hear that you are interested in growing your career here at GoCanvas! We have a focus of promoting from within and a history of former team members who joined us as junior team members or directly from college, that grew their career and graduated from us into dream roles in other companies. I agree that especially in a remote and hybrid environment that the nuances of each team are more pronounced. At GoCanvas, some teams express and emphasise some values more than others, so teams can feel a little different. However, each team member can point to examples they have experienced of all our values being lived out within their teams, and do so twice a year as a part of our check-in process. So the teams are all slight variations of our values and culture. Thanks again for your contributions so far, and for sharing your experience with the community!

Pros

Flexible PTO (though this is changing). Work-life balance was decent, especially earlier on. My customers were the best part of the role, and I genuinely felt for them as they navigated a significant amount of organizational change.

Cons

I stayed longer than I probably should have because the strongest parts of my experience were early on. After the acquisition, the culture shifted enough that many people started reevaluating their time here. It became more process-heavy, less transparent, and much more rigid than before. Management experiences varied widely. At one point, I went months without a clear direct manager or consistent point of contact, which created confusion around ownership and expectations.
