Pros

Dont let a lot of the positive reviews fool you. They are constantly required or bothering everyone to write these. The people are great and some of the work was challenging and I learned so much. The work life balance is actually top notch. The culture use to be employee focused. Benefits used to be the best in the valley, now we follow what others have been doing. Definitely preps you for working elsewhere.

Cons

Like any job you have to play the politics game. Salaries arent competitive any more. Internal promoting has fallen. Culture is slowly going away. Constant reorganizing makes me think that the company doesnt have a vision. Severe lack of recognition so much that many seniors have left for a reason. Not as much innovation as when under Parsons. There's a reason the stock hasn't taken off. Only follows any Silicon Valley trends instead of doing our own thing. Quite a few dead end teams. Many jobs moving to Seattle or SF instead of in PHX. Suffers from too many chiefs and too little braves. Turning in my 2 weeks soon.

Hi... sorry to see your comments, perhaps I'm not too late in reaching out to let you know there are some great things happening across the company, especially in the Phoenix area. I understand there can be some frustrating times but we are striving to make the right changes for the company and unfortunately change can be a bit unsettling. I've been with GoDaddy for 10+ years and couldn't be more excited about what's to come. In fact, my teams have 3 open positions at the moment as we grow our engineering teams to keep delivering great solutions for our customers. Feel free to reach out to me if you've got questions or concerns. Jason

Pros

Great benefits, cool people (not including leadership)

Cons

- You'll be worked like a slave, told when you can take your breaks and lunches. - Boy's Club. If you're in it, you can get away with lying to customers, breaking company policy, and basically whatever you want. If you're not part of it, watch your back, you'll be hyper-scrutinized for every action you take. - Commissions are capped, so top performers are limited. - This is not a true sales job, you are taking inbound customer service calls and will be expected to do technical support and deal with escalated inbound customers. - Much of the job has been outsourced to a Business Partner Organization (BPO) in the Philippines. Because they aren't true GoDaddy employees, they are allowed to operate like the wild wild west. Lying to customers, selling them duplicate products, deleting things from their accounts and reselling them the same product. Basically a complete legal nightmare... but you aren't allowed to complain about it and you are expected to fix all the problems they create.
