Pros

Very family oriented Great mission of supporting small business owners around the globe Engaging and awesome culture Plenty to do Engineering Pros: Common Agile practices throughout company with solid training Open and diverse set of approved languages to work with Lots of problems to be solved with time and space to solve them. Awesome GoDaddy only tech conference every year with bi annual company hackathons

Cons

Varies by department and job. Lots of re-orgs but thankfully doesn't really effect the teams more fun for middle managers.

Thanks for sharing your experience at GoDaddy! It's great to hear that the development process and tools are enabling you to do your best work. As you know, the Kirkland location is growing quickly and that leads to great growth opportunities, though sometimes we re-org to make sure we have the best people in each role. We're glad to hear that it doesn't effect the team negatively. We aim to keep the communication train going with regular demo-fests and town hall meetings so that everyone can keep up with what is happening across the team and the company.

Pros

Great benefits, cool people (not including leadership)

Cons

- You'll be worked like a slave, told when you can take your breaks and lunches. - Boy's Club. If you're in it, you can get away with lying to customers, breaking company policy, and basically whatever you want. If you're not part of it, watch your back, you'll be hyper-scrutinized for every action you take. - Commissions are capped, so top performers are limited. - This is not a true sales job, you are taking inbound customer service calls and will be expected to do technical support and deal with escalated inbound customers. - Much of the job has been outsourced to a Business Partner Organization (BPO) in the Philippines. Because they aren't true GoDaddy employees, they are allowed to operate like the wild wild west. Lying to customers, selling them duplicate products, deleting things from their accounts and reselling them the same product. Basically a complete legal nightmare... but you aren't allowed to complain about it and you are expected to fix all the problems they create.
