Pros

- Good entry-level opportunities to learn how domains, DNS, email, website builders, and web hosting works. - Decent pay for the level of experience required to get in the door. - Health, dental, and vision benefits are extremely affordable. - Lots of great people to work with.

Cons

- They don't care about their hourly employees anymore and will not hesitate to move you around to whatever shift or role they want you to do with very little notice. - They recently started outsourcing their chat support to the Philippines. - Holiday parties have been reduced to just a cheap attempt at capturing what was once the best day of the year (when Bob was around he would give out $1 million to employees but since going public they started to replace that with giving out cheap gadgets that the company gets in bulk for corporate discounts with affiliated companies). - The supervisors and management are good at pushing you to sell products and services that customers may or may not need but they will not take the time to ever address serious concerns from their direct reports.

Thank you for taking the time to send us your concerns and please allow me to address them. - We have grown internationally over the past year but we have not reduced any headcount in the US due to this. We have been able to reallocate all US talent to create an even better experience for our customers. - Holiday Parties - We still have a huge holiday party every year. We rent out a stadium and have high end entertainment. Last year we had Fall Out Boy as the headliner. We have also had other huge acts such as Pitbull, Snoop Dog and Kidd Rock. As far as the cash give away you are right, however only a small percentage of the workforce would be picked in a random drawing. As a public company we do need to be careful of where all funds are going and we would much rather use this to either improve the facilities, (better than we ever had than before we became a public company) or many other area's such as compensation, improved products, better tools for the employees. - At Godaddy we would never want anyone to purchase or sell an item that is not a good fit. We closely monitor refunds to ensure that the customer experience is best in class and will coach those sales agents who are either having a higher than usual refund amount or have poor Customer Satisfaction Scores. - We still pride our employees as the foundation that make Godaddy great and we are not alone in this feeling, being awarded a top place to work in the Forbes annual survey.

Pros

Great benefits, cool people (not including leadership)

Cons

- You'll be worked like a slave, told when you can take your breaks and lunches. - Boy's Club. If you're in it, you can get away with lying to customers, breaking company policy, and basically whatever you want. If you're not part of it, watch your back, you'll be hyper-scrutinized for every action you take. - Commissions are capped, so top performers are limited. - This is not a true sales job, you are taking inbound customer service calls and will be expected to do technical support and deal with escalated inbound customers. - Much of the job has been outsourced to a Business Partner Organization (BPO) in the Philippines. Because they aren't true GoDaddy employees, they are allowed to operate like the wild wild west. Lying to customers, selling them duplicate products, deleting things from their accounts and reselling them the same product. Basically a complete legal nightmare... but you aren't allowed to complain about it and you are expected to fix all the problems they create.
