Pros

It pays okay and work life balance is better than many other companies.

Cons

Aman and the current leadership has more or less gutted the company for quick profit. Profits have shot through the roof, but they've laid off so many people that even teams like Authentication barely have enough employees to keep the lights on (Auth has only 2 backend engineers). It's been sad to watch this company disintegrate from within. 3 years ago I was recommending it to everyone as an awesome place to work, but that has changed so quickly it's shocking. My individual manager is great, but I talk to him about what is going on above him and it's dog eat dog. Infighting, leaders constantly backstabbing each other. Most of the leadership who were pro-employee and pro-culture have left to "spend more time with family" besides one person - and he was removed from his job and, quite literally, put onto the task of figuring out what tools and benefits they should cut to save money. That was his announced job - figure out how to cut tools and benefits. The last year has seen them cutting good, useful tools across the board and replacing them with tools that are worse in most capacities, but are cheap. This has resulted in a lots of time spent tool jumping, and reduced capabilities for their employees. Run away.

Pros

Great benefits, cool people (not including leadership)

Cons

- You'll be worked like a slave, told when you can take your breaks and lunches. - Boy's Club. If you're in it, you can get away with lying to customers, breaking company policy, and basically whatever you want. If you're not part of it, watch your back, you'll be hyper-scrutinized for every action you take. - Commissions are capped, so top performers are limited. - This is not a true sales job, you are taking inbound customer service calls and will be expected to do technical support and deal with escalated inbound customers. - Much of the job has been outsourced to a Business Partner Organization (BPO) in the Philippines. Because they aren't true GoDaddy employees, they are allowed to operate like the wild wild west. Lying to customers, selling them duplicate products, deleting things from their accounts and reselling them the same product. Basically a complete legal nightmare... but you aren't allowed to complain about it and you are expected to fix all the problems they create.
