Pros

If you are in the right department, this company is still amazing to work for. I have been lucky enough to be in a great department with great leaders who prioritize their staff and our overall professional, intellectual, emotional, and physical wellbeing. There is room for growth and advancement and in some areas of the company, the leadership will go out of their way to make sure you are prepared to move up and on if that is what you wish and that you feel content if you wish to stay put.

Cons

In most areas of the company we are outsourcing though. It is hurting moral in it's entirety and it is hurting our culture deeply. We are no longer a secure company. Everyone is looking over their shoulder wondering what team is going to get cut next and who's job will be given to contractor next quarter. It doesn't make for loyal employees, which leads to low quality output, low quality output leads to bad customer experience and a bad customer experience leads to churn. Its just a bad business move and it is unfortunate that the pinching of pennies has come as at the cost of the working culture we are known for.

Pros

Great benefits, cool people (not including leadership)

Cons

- You'll be worked like a slave, told when you can take your breaks and lunches. - Boy's Club. If you're in it, you can get away with lying to customers, breaking company policy, and basically whatever you want. If you're not part of it, watch your back, you'll be hyper-scrutinized for every action you take. - Commissions are capped, so top performers are limited. - This is not a true sales job, you are taking inbound customer service calls and will be expected to do technical support and deal with escalated inbound customers. - Much of the job has been outsourced to a Business Partner Organization (BPO) in the Philippines. Because they aren't true GoDaddy employees, they are allowed to operate like the wild wild west. Lying to customers, selling them duplicate products, deleting things from their accounts and reselling them the same product. Basically a complete legal nightmare... but you aren't allowed to complain about it and you are expected to fix all the problems they create.
