Pros

Most of the people working there are driven and fun. They have something every year called "GoU" and it's a blast. Everyone goes up to Park City for a few days and the experience is really cool.

Cons

Very micromanaged and a lot of broken promises. Being an ISR, you are a slave to your job. The pay is not great and they promise promotions that never come. Most ISR's goals are to become a TSR (territory sales rep), but the company itself isn't growing fast enough to provide the territories needed to provide more opportunity. You find yourself stuck in an inside sales role, with little pay and no opportunity. Management keeps track of the number of calls you are making along the way. TSR's can make good money, but it really depends on the territory they give you and all of the desired territories have been claimed. ALL territories are super over saturated and bombarded with GoEngineer calls and emails, so most people are irritated when you call. ISR's are hourly and the commissions are low. I would say the average ISR makes between 45k-60k annually. I would not recommend this position to anyone looking for growth and opportunity in a company. As far as benefits go, they are great for the single person and terrible for families. People with families pay a ridiculous amount of money out of their checks every month for insurance.

GoEngineer Response

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback. We rely on our ISR teams to communicate directly with customers and create long lasting relationships. They have a unique environment to learn both product and industry knowledge in a team-based atmosphere while considering various career paths within the organization. The TSR positions have had historically low turnover, which means advancement into that role is competitive and based on an ISR’s performance metrics, among other variables. Acknowledging that the TSR openings are infrequent, GoEngineer gives employees the opportunity to expand into other roles within the organization outside of the sales department. Those conversations with managers are always welcome and are initiated at the employee’s request. We also have been going through a rapid expansion, most recently growing through the Midwest. We anticipate this will create additional opportunities for our employees to grow by increasing sales and support positions. Regarding benefits, we are constantly looking at options to manage health care costs. As we continue to grow, our rates should decrease, but this is not a guarantee. While this is not a perfect solution, benefit costs are something we discuss frequently and can identify with your frustration.

Pros

Great reseller to work for. A lot of recognition in the marketspace for our support and value-add so selling is much easier than for typical VAR's

Cons

Needs better onboarding process to help sellers hit the ground running faster.

Pros

6 weeks of PTO and decent health insurance. $400 HSA contribution per quarter.

Cons

I’ve worked 10 years in corporate sales and his company has the worst crm data hygiene I have ever seen. Little to no context in contact outreach. Also there isn’t really an organized knowledge base to effectively answer technical questions. When you show up, you’re given a blank onedrive to fill out on your own with templates, scripts, and product information. There really isn’t time to be creating your own knowledge base and SOPS. The base salary is low but thought it could be tolerable for a well established company with reliable processes.
